manage toolbarpalette items. based on custombuttons idea.you may install my customitems from here (http://dark-demon.nm.ru/soft/customitems/)to edit customitem click on that with right mouse button and CTRL pressed - popups customitems menu - select edit.!!! this is compatible with windows !!!see also my firefox pack: http://forum.mozilla-russia.org/viewtopic.php?id=14437
