HighlightAll
This extension highlights all occurrences of the selected text. When enabled, just select text with your mouse, and all occurrences will automatically get highlighted - no context menu! Another click in the document will remove highlighting.Works also in source code viewing for developers.Enabling/disabling can be done with F8 key, or you can set it to be always active.Version 1.2 to come these days: customizable shortcut, plus display in the status bar of the count of how many times the highlighted text was found.Note that HighlightAll keeps the selection active once the job is done, so you can still copy/paste itIn case you find a bug which is not already mentioned below, please use this form to contact me: http://goudey70.free.fr/highlightall/contact.php5I'll try to work it out.KNOWN ISSUES:- Sometimes if you select text over sections with different styles, you cannot remove highlighting by clicking in the document (you can reload the page with F5 if needed). It is due to Firefox built-in highlighting technique (you can test it with the usual Ctrl-F and highlight option), which this extension uses. The issue happens mostly in source code viewing. However, most of the time you will only select one single word, so there should be no trouble.- Conflicts with FLST extension (after clicking on a tab, highlighting cannot be removed). I recommend LastTab extension in replacement.- Words highlighted in text boxes are not counted.
Supported
versions: Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.0.* ALL
Notes / Comments: - added a display of the number of occurrences in the status bar (but words highlighted in text boxes are not counted)- the keyboard shortcut is now customizable
