Reuse Home Page


Loads an external link into an active home or blank tab.This extension slightly modifies the behaviour of Firefox when configured to load links from external applications in new tabs: if the current active tab contains your configured home page or about:blank, the external link is loaded in the active tab, instead of a new one. This prevents leaving useless home or blank tabs open in the background.



Supported Firefox versions: Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.0.* ALL

Notes / Comments: Any leading "http(s)://" and trailing slash are ignored when checking if current and home page URLs match. But please note that your home page URL must not be different from the actual URL shown when the home page is loaded, e.g. if an Italian user has www.google.com as home page, the default for Google is to take her to www.google.it instead, so Reuse Home Page will not work in this case.
