Shazou
Finally mapping is integrated with the Firefox browser. The product called Shazou (pronounced Shazoo it is Japanese for mapping) enables the user with one-click to map and geo-locate any website they are currently viewing. Shazou was developed as a tool to improve the awareness for people surfing the internet about where and who they are interacting with every click of the mouse. Shazou will show you the details that you need to make better decisions about what sites you want to register or purchase products. We worked out the issue with IE Tabs so you can Shazou a page that comes up in your IE tab. We also added some right mouse click features which were requested by a number of people. You can right mouse click on the page and quickly get a map of the server. We have also added in the ability to Shazou before you go there. When you right mouse click over a link, you can Shazou the link and see where the server is you may be considering clicking on. Thanks to Steve we have updated to Google Maps API 2.0 and he's added in some nice smooth zooming features and given you the scroll wheel zoom which is a favorite of mine for zooming around. We pull up the whois information on the domain so you have a chance to compare where the server is actually located from the person or organization that registered the domain. Keep an eye out we have some other things coming in the near future.- Chuck8/15/06 - Version 1.0 is released!Shazou now includes a new information bar which indicates if you are using the current version and now allows you to submit a site that you suspect may be a phishing scheme.Seisan has partnered with White Wolf Security to create Anviss. One of our missions is to improve online security through knowledge and easy to use tools. By submitting, you are assisting us in collecting information that can be used to help in the fight against phishing. By popular demand, the Shazou option in the Right Click menu has been relocated further down the menu in its own separation .***When you submit a possible phishing site it is completely anonymous. Only the information displayed in the Shazou popup window is stored.-Steve8/20/06 - Shazou has been updated with the latest GeoIp Data. Sites that were previously missing data have been updated for the most part.****IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES GENERATING THE MAP***Shazou's mapping functionality is based on javascript. If you are having trouble with the map check the following two things:1. Javascript is enabled in FirefoxOptions Menu-Content Tab-Enable Javascript 2.
