Supported Firefox versions: Thunderbird 1.5 - 1.5.0.* ALL

Notes / Comments: I appreciate the feedback, it not only helps me with development but get better use out of Thunderbird myself. At this stage I need to bring my Firefox themes up to date. After that I want to release all the same themes for Thunderbird.Having done a fair amount towards another release of my themes for Thunderbird 1.5.* I think it may be wiser to drop that and aim for Thunderbird 2.With just a month till scheduled release Thunderbird 2 is looking pretty hot in my opinion. What we really need to do is wake the rest of the world up to this fact. Please, don't be shy in this...Do like I do...a few tips on this... * tell everybody - wife, kids, all relatives - set them up with Thunderbird replacing things like Outdook while they're not looking - they'll only thank you. * be vigilant - rather than mindlessly wander down the street, pop your head into stores like internet cafes for people using inferior products......key statements/actions in this are... 1. What's wrong with you and when will you get it seen to? 2. Oh man, why do something simple when you can do it tough like this - nothing like a bit of good old frustration. 3. Spontaneous fits of laughter while they try to do stuff....and the list goes on and on.For example, what are you Londoners doing, you have Harrods - I only go to Sydney a few times a year nowadays but I had a good force of Grace Brothers staff converted - there's a change of hands so I'll have to start all over - any of you still there that are reading this...'Yep, I'll be back to check on you'.Oh and yes, I'll pop back over to London to show you how it's done if needed. Are any of you extension developers reading this...A few weeks ago when I went over to buy milk, the store owner spun the lcd monitor around saying 'Please don't start..see..see..you are right. Why you call this Calendar when it is such good schedular?'Forget my reply, the fact is that he's now using it as an email client integrated to small business events such as ordering etc.So I'll ask (as I promised him), Lighting is good but Calendar totally inappropriate, Scheduler would be wrong as it has overtones of 'bloatware' - somebody please come up with an appropriate 'catchy' name. The thing is that there is a bloated software company that has a widely used email client - I say that because 'popular' is simpy innapropriate.Their golden rule is 'It has to be easy, not just easier', which is self defeatist. If it's not intuitive it's not functional and therefore can't be called 'easy'.Intuitive means that with just a bit of looking around anybody will soon get the hang of it - just like all things Thunderbird.'Easy' may well apply with first use of a product but quite shortly gets up your nose sideways with a chisel - just like all things...ummm..errr....I think it sounds something like 'Rout Nook' or 'Without look'.The other thing is that we can't rely on common sense, most people will simply take what they think is popular regardless of whether it's any good.People get used to it and something marginally acceptable like Outlook is deemed better than something superior like Thunderbird.I rest my case. For sure, keep hassling me on things I need to improve but please, please, get out and spread the word to make it all really worth while. :)Regards,Greg (aka glowplug)
